Mixxit’s Magnificent 7 Competition has announced its finalists after an intensive 12 month search. The seven finalists are set to compete on World Cocktail Day (13 May) at Sydney’s Ivy for the chance to attend the World Famous B.A.R course in New York!
Behind Bars Trivia is Back!
After the success of the Behind Bars Trivia in 2008, you’ll be pleased to hear that it’s making a return in 2010 - bigger, badder and better than ever! In conjunction with Diageo’s Alchemy, trivia heats will be hosted around the country, culminating with a final in September in Sydney during Sydney BarShow Week.
The Lark Turns Three
The multi-award winning The Lark Food & Drink in Paddington, Brisbane, is set to celebrate its third birthday this month in fine style.
City Hotel Relauch - This Friday
The Deconstructed team who previously oversaw the revamp of the Shelbourne Hotel in Sydney’s CBD have embarked upon a new venture; the City Hotel or just ‘The City’ as they envisage the venue becoming known. The launch event for step one of the project is set for tomorrow night.
Bloody Mondays at Tatler
Tatler are kicking off an all new hospo night this coming Monday (15 Feb) entitled ‘Bloody Mondays’. The evening sponsored by Patron will also see the return from bartending retirement of Mr. Lenny Opai of Bayswater Brasserie fame.
Zeta launches Cryogenic Sorbet and Cocktail Bar
Sydney’s multi-award winning Zeta bar will be transformed into a 50’s-style ice cream parlour each Friday evening until the end of March, to serve their iced cocktails in cones and cups from the new Cryogenic Sorbet and Cocktail Bar.
Cocktail All Stars - New York City
Described by New York Magazine as a veritable cocktailapalooza, Eben Freeman and Linden Pride are taking their “guerilla drinks festival”, known as ‘Cocktail All-Stars’ to New York next week.
