White Rabbit Dark Ale

wr-glassandbottlecutsml

White Rabbit Brewery, a small brewery in Healesville, Victoria has released its first brew, the White Rabbit Dark Ale.

So what is this brewery all about? Well, in the words of the brewers: “we like to exercise our right to be a little different and brew beer that doesn’t just follow the others… So, White Rabbit is a bit like a couple of Belgian hippies gatecrashing a lovely, traditional English tea party!”

Their first offering is a dark ale which is essentially malt driven but with the firm bitterness of whole hops to ensure balance. There are even a couple of open fermenters custom-made in Europe to combine traditional methods with White Rabbit thinking.

The brew is already on tap at around 35 venues in Melbourne and the boys are just starting to distribute some Rabbit love in Sydney and Tassie.

White rabbit sells like hot cakes at my bar, yes if we where a pancake parlor! But the customers really, and I mean really love the stuff, It goes really well with cigars too. Go a Western Australian beer that is made in Vic!
