Safety Wolf stalks into Manly, hackles raised and howling at the moon - or at least the one in the mural on the wall by ex pro-skater and stencil artist Scotty Fang does. The venue has something of a skate vibe to it, with a little fifties hep-cat and Big Wednesday surf shack thrown in. Food is simple yet tasty, with ribs scoring highly with the locals and a good cocktail list that sits well with the Beach Blanket Babylon feel of the place. The wolf is howlin’ some good tunes too: from Neil Diamond to Johnny Cash with the Beatles and Stones thrown in, you’ll find no RTD RNB here.
